Roa Island Boating Club Ltd
 

Roa Island is set in the beautiful surroundings of Morecambe Bay on the edge of the Irsh Sea in south west Cumbria. We are also on the edge of the Lake District with Lake Windermere and Coniston only twenty minutes away.
R.I.B.C. has been established since 1957, encompassing various types of water sports including boat fishing, dinghy and cruiser sailing / racing, windsurfing and kayaking.


With 24 hour launching facilities in Walney Channel we are blessed with some of the finest coastal sailing to be found.
The club has a full racing program for both Cruisers and Dinghies. We also have a busy social callender in the well equiped club house.

The Clubhouse, has a large patio and barbeque. A fully licensed bar offers a range of beers, wines, spirits, and soft drinks at phenomenally low prices, food is available from the new kitchen from this season.

There are picnic tables on the patio which is a fine spot to view the club racing from.

 

The Club has approximately 250 members with 100 cruiser berths and a dinghy park.
We offer a programme of sailing activities aimed at families and children. Junior race series’ fishing competitions and cruiser racing.
RIBC is Family orientated club,with first class social activities.


Club racing Saturday, Sunday & Weekday evenings.
We have club boats available for use by members at a small charge to cover upkeep, there is a choice of 5 Toppers, a Laser, and a Wayrarer. there is also a safety boat and a Dory.
