Due to the increase of vessels using the channel there are areas of speed restrictions. The information will be posted on the Clubs notice board in the entrance to the clubhouse. Please read the notices, they are for your safety.

Should any vessel exceed these limits and cause excessive wash, contact Barrow Harbour Control (Channel 12) telling them of the vessels name / description.

Recently a jet skier was prosecuted and fined almost £2,500 for reckless navigation and exceeding a speed limit on Southampton Water. Should you witness a similar type of behavior from jet skiers or power boats around moorings, both off Roa Island or Peil Island, report this to the Barrow Harbor Control. Periodically during the summer the police R.I.B. will be deployed to warn individuals of their behavior. Should they persist, prosecutions could follow.

Hi Tony, A very important topics you have written about. It's a duty of a careful person to try to get everyone know about the safety factors.
