Is anyone interested in a club cruise to Canal Head Ulverston. The club used to go here many years ago. I remember doing the trip with my brother over 35 years ago.
May need to get some good tide info for the variations in times of HW at Canal Head. If we can get enough interest then I am sure it would be a good cruise.

Ian,

I would be interested in trying to get there. I thnk that Albert Benson may have the "knowledge" and I know that Alan Cleasby has also been talking about trying to arrange this. I'll have a word with both of them to see if we can find a date.

Going to have a go at getting to canal head on thursday 2nd June if anyone is interested let me know. Wind is Westerly 5-6 knots HW Ulverston 1242 BST so almost perfect conditions, but may have to motor back. Plan to be set off about HW -4 so RIBC about 0730hrs. Let me know if anyone can make it on 07808917309

Here is a detailed passage plan and log for Ian's cruise to Canal Head in Wee Dram. It's certainly worth a read and I think an early contender for the Ailie Plate!
